@FoxbrushTailwag this cannot be Bavaria or Baden-Wuerttemberg because of the non-regulation bridge, so it must be Austria or Switzerland :RosThink:

@kaia Switzerland, as most of my tours are, since I can ride trains for free with my bike in all of it, but crossing the border will be tricky.

Specifically this is somewhere between Berne and Fribourg, there are nice little forests with creeks all around there

@FoxbrushTailwag looks beautiful :floof_256:

takios,

@FoxbrushTailwag @kaia I wish we had that. But we have to pay about 7€ per day...and even then actually getting to take the bike onto the train is not guaranteed... 🙄

So here you have the option of a half-fare ticket. But for longer rides, the "Velotageskarte" for 18.- is the better option. I have the all year "Velopass", which costs me around 250.- / year and, together with my GA, ensures that both my bike and I ride for free in all of Switzerland.

On some long distance trains a reservation is mandatory from ... I think May -> Sep., on other train it isn't, but i there is no room for your bike: tough luck. So far never happend to me, though.
