@finestructure like in compilers, these bootstrapping problems are always hard to resolve. At least in warmer weather there are more excuses to prepare some cold brew the night before.

@finestructure I think the humble cafetière makes pretty good coffee and doesn’t require too much pre-coffee thought

@dave Coffee accidents are the worst. Didn’t properly close the lid over the pad once and it sprayed muck all over the place 😖

@finestructure I never understood why people would want a brewer with a timer they can set the night before, so that they can start the day by stumbling into the kitchen whenever the siren calls, drowning their first hot cup of thinkie liquid.

Maybe this is the use case.
