@soheb just nice to we're not being told off like I'm personally punching dolphins in the face.
This might be a hot take and yes the environment is important and animals but I think majority of general public are pretty aware now and are doing their best in a depressed cost of living crisis, guilt the damn mega corporations and governments that don't recycle, with your cute turtles!
I just wanna watch a programme about animals, damn.
@ClairTheGinger Sorry I missed this! I posted about Spotify and suddenly my notifications have blown up!
But yes, I 100% agree - back when I had my old netflix account there was just so much doom scrolling - one TV series about how bad X was, another about how we have, as a race, utterly doomed Y. It was just too much.
I remember Attenborough doing a documentary for Netflix, and I was like "sweet!" but then it was just the most depresssing thing I had ever watched. Couldn't stand it.
@ClairTheGinger I think that really kiled my appetite for TV and for streaming services tbh for a long time.
Now that I got my own house, I've been watching more BBC documentaries, and as long as they aren't too political they are super chill.
Like you said, it's awful everything - we get it. We don't need to be reminded on the daily given how we are living it. Let us have something to enjoy!!
(I'm partial to documentaries, gardening shows, and light entertainment like Gladiators/Pointless)
