@timelordiroh Depends on the size of the converter. For certain Pilots, I'd rather refill an old cartridge using a syringe. I think this is why my favorite pens are piston-fillers.
@hsl Most of my pens are 'internal' too, either piston fillers with the TWSBI Eco and Go or vaccum with Vac700R. it's basically having the benefits of the converter with the larger ink capacity of cartridges (or more)
@timelordiroh converters are easier, but I have a syringe and can refill cartridges. I've got a couple older pens with cartridge sizes I don't have converters for, too.
@turgon that's what i've always found too. i always see websites saying cartridges are easier, but I disagree. I have a syringe but I find that i'm just always using converters, even if they hold less ink. I don't have too many/any older pens atm, but i'm still a fountain pen baby (bought my first pen (TWSBI Eco) last year and am slowly expanding my collection)
@turgon you're right, and that's (throwing things away) is the exact reason i got into fountain pens instead of disposables. I don't want to throw things away. I want things to last.
