#fediadmin friends: are there any downsides to turning on the "Content cache retention period"? I've noticed that my database's content cache table is very large, and I realized I hadn't set a retention time for it.
@misty i've experimented with this, and came to regret losing old thread data from other servers. the only setting worth messing with is the media cache setting
@misty For me it's an absolute requirement on account of "I do not have infinite money for object storage". The only downside is that sometimes, the upstream content is deleted and I haven't gotten a copy in cache beyond the retention period.
