I'm among the suckers who started groups on Slack despite the limits of the free account. Using Discord always reminds me of walking into the room of a friend who never cleans their house. I am thinking maybe I'll try Matrix if I get the time and gumption to make a change. For now I'm content to do nothing. And I do note that some orgs stick with the Slack free plan even though hitting limits disappears messages; and some orgs stick with Discord despite the clutter and uneven participation.
@reillypascal@artlung I never tried it before and just looked it up. Looks like it’s a protocol where you choose which kind of app to access it with, so which apps have you tried or used? (and where can I find more to try out)
