Uh, anyone knowledgeable about li-on batteries here? because I'm worrying if a month of 35-40C temperatures (can't use the AC in my room till its cleaned ; _ ; ) will severely affect a smartphone battery's lifespan

@aozora If you are charging your batteries above 80% regularly, that will have a much greater impact on the life of the battery than 35-40C temperatures.

"Ideal" temperature for lithium-ion batteries depend on the scenario but roughly it's:

-20C to 55C while discharging
0C to 45C while charging
-5C to 35C while in storage

So it's not ideal if they have a resting temp above 35C while in storage, but that only really matters over long spans of time. Keep them in a shady place and they should be fine.

@neatchee i always make it point to charge only up to 80% as much as possible (so think i maybe be fine there)

but i can assume that even if the phone's battery hovers around 35—40C in both idle and in use for like say, roughly two weeks (the afternoon heat basically leaves them like that for maybe 5 hours), whatever loss of capacity would be negligible compared to charging up to 100%?
