I just realised: the absolute un-shaking allegiance that MAGAs have to Trump is exactly the same as #Morrissey fans / apologists and, now, #MattyHealy fans.

Or #HarryPotter fans with Rowling.

If people have invested so much of their identity in one person, they will never admit that person is scum.
