Q. how long might it take to close the gender pay gap in Britain?

A. Based on the rate of reduction between 2011-2023, a further 29 years according to PWC analysis of ONS data.

If we say a 'generation' is around 25 years, gender equal pay looks to be over a generation away....

But then again, men were never going to give up the privileged pay without a fight.

[my erstwhile employer, Lancaster University has narrowed its gender pay gap since 2018, from 25.5% to 18.2%]

@ChrisMayLA6 "They" said it was "a generation away" when I was young enough for it to matter to my career too.
We're going to destroy our ability to exist on the planet before rich white guys admit that everyone else has the same (economic) worth as they do.
