@cshentrup The Uighur population in China is up since the 1940s, too; the genocide claims there are about a collapse in Uighur birthrates in the 2010s brought about by the concentration camp system and (likely) forced sterilizations.
@Alon LOL, this campaign only began in the last decade: China’s campaign against the Uyghurs, a mostly Muslim, Turkic-speaking ethnic group living in the northwestern region of Xinjiang, has been ongoing for several years. The Chinese government has reportedly detained more than a million Muslims in reeducation camps since 2017.
