Does anyone have some good resources/tips on self-hosting a website?

Truthfully, it would probably be easier for me to NOT self-host, but where's the fun in that?

@DaCutestCorvid what kind of website? I put a tutorial on how to use docker-compose to make an infra of your own with a frontend proxy that also does letsencrypt for you and stuff, but idk if that's what you're looking for

@anthropy I’m making an tiny entirely static site for the time being. I could do more complicated things in the future, but I’m really focused on the bare minimum requirements before I try and tackle anything far outside my skill range

@DaCutestCorvid you could also only set up a jekyll container like mentioned there and forward it to the internet, you could also make something in 'raw' html and present it to the world with nginx, the latter would probably be a bunch more work but gives you more flexibility, depends a little on your preferences
