The "iPad needs to emulate MacOS" nonsense is completely indicative of one of the classic pathologies of Apple Media Brain. Gotta own every single device Apple produces, and every one of those devices needs to perform exactly the same set of jobs.
@bynkii I mean, I wrote a blog post about this <checks notes> 14 years ago. The iPad is an alternative not a replacement. Should Apple make changes that make iPadOS more productive...sure. But emulating a whole fucking MacOS system ain't it.
