I liked people posting annoying commentary as quote-tweets a lot better than when they do it in comments. Quotes were easier to ignore - because it felt that they were meant for their followers, not for me to react to and to manage (esp. if I don't want to be flooded with notifications). Can't wait for the feature.
(Because this is #fedi: you may feel different about this. It is obviously fine. Be civil, don't mansplain - even if you are not a man.)
