Drag Race Philippines and Drag Den really were that impactful because growing up, gay kids only play chinese garter and that game taray-tarayan which is like our own version of a reading challenge before it was cool. And now literal kids as young as eight years old are engaging in BALLROOM CULTURE?? Literal kids who probably don't even know how to read yet are VOGUING??? Gay culture is alive and well, and thriving mamas. Happy mothers day to everyone who mothers.
Just now I saw an actual barangay event where there are two kids in house clothes battling it out voguing and doing all these splits and flips. I'm so happy y'all 😭 we are still far from equality but right now queer culture is being embraced 🥹
