A taste of things to come in Scotland?

Spanish media are enthusiastically bigging up the 'historic' decline in support for independence parties in Catalunya, which is still at 44%/45% after yesterday's elections.

They're acting as if (1) it's done and dusted for Catalán independence; and (2) the sizeable pro-independence minority will be "pragmatic" and get back in its box.

Stay tuned....

Below the 12th May front page of the "British Gazette" published daily by Westminster for the duration of the 1926 General Strike to counter the strikers message "suggesting" union activity was less than patriotic.

The end of the strike was followed up by draconian laws of association and assembly to try to shackle unions and scare people from unionising.

If we take the train of events where the UKs single biggest source of income at the time, industry, being threatened by the plebs and apply it to modern day UK, dependent on natural resources - it does underline what the UK media is about.

And once Westminster thinks it has majority support expect draconian reversals on the Scottish parliament.

The assault on devolution started with Cameron announcing EVEL in the early hours of 19/9/2014 and it's been ramping up ever since. It will keep ramping up after the next UK GE because the great patriotic British Englishman Starmer has wrapped himself in the union flag and is busy welcoming far right ideologues into the "Labour" Party. (Elphicke is virulently opposed to devolution, Starmer has stated he'll block "forever".)

Suck it up Jocks.

@MadeyeTheCarnaptious @Theriac Given that we have Tory/Labour coalition councils in Scotland, I expect Starmer to circumvent Holyrood and deal directly with those councils. They can't just close Holyrood but they can emasculate to the point where it's unnecessary....

Labour controlled local authorities in Scotland have already conducted a trial run, bypassing Holyrood and communicating with Gove (will The Sleekit One be next to jump ship? Could he be the next - Labour - Governor General in Scotland?).

Starmer bypassing Holyrood is inevitable and his "Scottish" MPs and MSPs are rubber stamp non-entities from the moment any of them are elected.
