@lain it's kind of disappointing that Amazon collected 1GB of customer data per day in 1999 and still sucks so much with recommendations.
I know that part of it is intentional, i.e. when you search for a particular product they want to sell you their item and their advertisers' items first.
but the recommendation lists suck. so either they make more money via bad recommendations that are cooked. or they just suck with their algos?

the old recommendation system from 5~6 years ago was terrible but seemed to be trying. looks they gave up and just do advertisements since though
