@schwa@GeekAndDad If the software had been written before that exactly matched the needs, it would be immediately available because software duplication costs are negligible. (Unlike building a house.)
The flip side to instant duplication is that, because software can be reshaped infinitely, any deviation from existing functionality can require an unpredictable amount of effort to resolve.
