@mlawton Four measurements to tell whether it was a red:

1. Semedo inequivocally made contact with Mac Allister. How strong was it?
2. How high was the contact on Mac Allister's foot or leg?
3. How distant was the ball when he made contact?
4. How clear is it that Semedo aimed for the ball?

In my view it's loud and clear a red.

Wolves can request VAR to be removed for many other reasons, but not today so far.

@vruz @mlawton Kavanagh and Coote agree. I think there is a spectrum of height and recklessness and this, for me, was reckless but not necessarily to the level of a red. Subjective, I know.

Semedo should have elevated to studs into the the chest. Would have been seen, by precedent, as “a coming together”. 😈
