Hi and welcome. If you're used to other sites, this one works a little differently. It's all about curating your own timeline/feed. So it's basically who you follow, not gaining followers for reach. So follow hashtags, follow people whose feeds you like. You can always check them out by looking at their profile. Also if you press the ... on their profile it gives you the option of blocking their boosts, if you don't want to over load your feed with them, but still want to follow them. Also follow groups like
@actuallyautistic
These boosts your posts to the members and allows better reach. Remember to alt text your pictures and put anything you think may trigger behind cw's and you'll be fine. Basically enjoy the conversations. We rarely bite, unlike other places.
