Out of curiosity, NONBINARY folks: have you ever dated, been in, or are currently in a t4t relationship?

@JoscelynTransient

Edit: now poll!

And yes, but not with another nonbinary person so far, though, which is a pity, because I have a great shitpost about homosexuality lined up for when I do.

@HauntedOwlbear yeah, i spaced and missed hitting the poll button at first (bimbo academic strikes again!). Should be a poll now!

@JoscelynTransient I voted no, but I was married to my cis wife for about 16 years before I realised I was non-binary.

@JoscelynTransient like my most significant relationship both of us went in "cis" and came out of the whole experience trans af. (We were also hella gay for a "straight" couple.)

@JoscelynTransient When my partner and I got together we were het-passing (they knew they were bi already) and both thought we were cis. My partner came out as nonbinary five or six years ago, and I came out about a year ago. We both started HRT around our 10th wedding anniversary :) oh and I figured out I’m bi in the process 🤩

Saw after voting yes that you aren’t looking for accidental T4T so sorry for that!

JoscelynTransient,
@JoscelynTransient@chaosfem.tw avatar

@Jaytee no no, this kind is perfect! I meant more the unknown-at-the time accidental t4t - you are both fully t4t now and that's so adorable!!!

@frost@chitter.xyz avatar

@JoscelynTransient 🔘 I'm nonbinary and not transgender! :3

(I could be T4T with /species/ though, but that's unrelated,)

JoscelynTransient,
@JoscelynTransient@chaosfem.tw avatar

@frost well, this one is more for the folks who identify with both 😁

@JoscelynTransient Does it count if neither of us were out of the closet yet?

@Willow @kelidanovus that was the one category i wasn't really intending - folks who weren't knowingly t4t at the time who both transitioned after the relationship ended. But for anyone that started thinking not t4t but is currently t4t, that's still good

@JoscelynTransient Herm, this is tough to answer. Both my ex and current partner both identify as their birth sex but also acknowledge that they lean more to being the opposite sex. Neither one consider themselves actually trans, though. So I feel like it's kind of a gray area and not clear cut.

JoscelynTransient,
@JoscelynTransient@chaosfem.tw avatar

@gallowswitch true, definitely some cases like that

OftOverthinking,

@JoscelynTransient
I'd vote, but I think you'd want to designate how long someone has known they were trans.

Even if I were single, I doubt there would have been enough time.

@JoscelynTransient@chaosfem.tw avatar

@OftOverthinking i want those responses in there too! No time requirement on this one
