Last year, an area around twice the size of Luxembourg was burnt in the EU.
It was the fourth worst year since 2000 regarding areas affected by wildfires. This is also due to the single largest fire to occur in Europe since the 1980s.

In response to wave of missile attacks launched by Russia on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, we mobilised rapid support:

14.6 million Ukrainians are in need of humanitarian aid.
This represents nearly 40% of the population.
So far, we have provided €860 million for humanitarian aid programmes in Ukraine and have delivered more than 140 000 tonnes of life-saving supplies via the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism. This includes vital resources such as:

All teams deployed to #France and #Germany through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism 🇪🇺🚨 in response to the ongoing floods have arrived and are operational.
