Here are the answers
Number 1 - Ukraine 🇺🇦 - 109 #EiffelTowers, 36.7m people, 2.97 per million inhabitants
2 - Estonia 🇪🇪 - 2 Towers, 1.3m people, 1.54 per million
3 - Lithuania 🇱🇹 - 4 Towers, 2.7m people, 1.48 per million
4 - Macau 🇲🇴 - 1 Tower, 0.7m people, 1.43 per million
5 - Armenia 🇦🇲 - 3 Towers, 2.8m people, 1.07 per million
Without looking it up, there are only 5 countries in the world - 4 of them in Europe, 1 in Asia - that have more than 1 Eiffel Tower per million inhabitants (Eiffel Towers confirmed currently standing, includes the original, replicas, derivatives and resemblances)
Can you name all 5? I will edit this toot with the people who get the correct answers first 🙂
(Special administrative regions, colonies, territories are counted separately)
And once that's done... then I will update the GeoGuessr game featuring the Eiffel Towers, and then... finally... write a looooong blog post about all the stories like:
Why massive towers in housing estates in Pakistan, and malls in Thailand? Where is Serbia's Eiffel triangle? Which country has the most #EiffelTowers per capita?
Thanks @AnnaRami (for a new one in Biarritz), @RichardKogelnig (for a new one in Washington DC) and especially Daniel, an old friend of mine on Facebook, who found... 🥁 the first Eiffel Tower on Google Street View for me in Tiraspol, Moldova 🇲🇩
