Hi folks! Moving to a new instance requires a new introduction, I believe. So, uh, here I am!
I'm a British Columbian in the foreign territory of Alberta. I live here with my husband, our three dogs, a cat that several people have requested we leave to them in our will, and a boatload of instruments.
I love cars, history, car history, Formula One (long-suffering Ferrari fan), the World Rally Championship, and hockey. I'm attempting to learn Finnish for fun.
I'm giving #IndyCar a try (ironic since where I grew up, the Indy 500 was the first race I paid attention to), but its similarity to the NFL in its promotion is throwing me. I like the British/international flair of #F1.
So, this year apparently #F1 has just turned into a TV series called “Which Red Bull Driver Will Win This Week?”. I guess next week it’ll be Max’s turn again.
So boring.
F1 suckered us all in with Drive to Survive and that remarkably intense season where Lewis got cheated out of the championship. Since then it’s been all downhill.
Mercedes have got to be getting George ready for a fastest lap tyre change… unless now Lewis has worked his way back up they want to shuffle him back down out of the points again. #F1#Formula1#AzerbaijanGP

I am still unconvinced by #Formula1 sprint weekends. Qualifying this morning seemed pointless and the race was boring. If George hadn’t attacked Max what else would we be talking about.
One thing I thought about for qualifying was, make the driver do their lap from a standing start from pole. The slowest 5 get knocked out, then you do it again. Add a bit of jeopardy to the lap. If you are slow off the line even the faster cars might have trouble making up the time.
I wasn’t sure about the Formula 1 change with sprint weekends last season, but from what I’ve seen so far of this weekend’s qualifying in Baku, I like it.
Perhaps not the circuit to have the first in that format, but the gist of it nonetheless.
@rob Max being a complete crybaby and won't shut up about it. George even came over to apologise for the contact and Max has to be a twat with his revenge comment.
