So I have been playing around with the Miyoo mini and have really been loving it. The ps one capability and also the Ds are great on it. I was a bit shocked about the ds as I thought I would hate playing that system on it but the button mapping is spot on with the Onion firmware and you can switch screens no problem. Been playing a really fun Pokémon rom hack called Pokémon Perfect Crystal. It adds lots of great additions like being able to evolve Pokémon that could only be evolved through trading by stone. Also lots of other updates #pokemon#miyoominiplus

Been hitting #pico8 hard recently because of the wonderful new app in #onionui on the #miyoominiplus , and I can't say I've ever had a game make me laugh as hard as this one: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=34959 (playable in browser). Having some time off from work has meant that I have a little extra time for video games. A couple of my favorites have been #BlasterMaster and #TripWorld.
I finally got round to preparing my Miyoo Mini Plus. So far it's been straightforward. For a while I thought the Wifi was not working, but the only thing needed was patience and getting closer to the router. Got the native Pico8 installed plus some Pico8 games from my to-play list...
All that to finally play Shadow King by @johanpeitz (https://johanpeitz.itch.io/shadow-king). Johan managed to finish two more games while I was getting ready to play this one. I need to speed up a little.
I picked up a #MiyooMiniPlus recently, and have been having fun getting that one working too. It is really pocketable and great for some of the lower end 8 bit systems.
My #C64 was the closest I got to game consoles until I bought my Xbox 360. Never owned any of the handhelds over the years. I'm realizing how much I missed out. And the fun part now is that I can have all those AND the Commodore games I remember.
The Ambernic #RG35XX is the direct competition, and I chose the Miyoo in part because of the Wi-Fi and the Net Play. I will miss the HDMI, but I've also decided that this one really is for the portable small screen experience.
Saw the #miyoominiplus at @revengeday and had to buy it.
I really like it. Nice display and the third party OS #onionos is well made.
I'm thinking about to replace the wifi module with USB interface (never seen one before) to get bluetooth for my headphones.
