Und ob der NJ dann im August wirklich von Berlin bis Zürich fährt oder uns in Böblingen rauswirft, dass sehen wir dann. ÖBB sagt so, SBB sagt anders

Amsterdam - Basel muss man einen Fahrradstellplatz buchen, verpacken reicht nicht. Die OEBB kann telefonisch Auskunft geben zur Verfügbarkeit, buchen muss man am Schalter. Meine erste Fahrt mit dem #NightJet hat zu 100% überzeugt. Das Mini Cabin ist erstaunlich geräumig. Man kann sich darin lang ausstrecken oder kerzengerade hinsetzen. Mit einer Schlüsselkarte kann man Kabine und Gepäckschränke abschließen. Bei sanftem Rollen und gedimmtem Licht ist guter Schlaf garantiert, morgens bringt der Schaffner Frühstück ans Bett.
Dann kam der Zug auch noch pünktlich an und alles hat prima funktioniert.

Good night from #Vienna 🇦🇹 - and from on board the #ÖBB#nightjet to #Bregenz. This is one of the very stylish new #DaNi (for DayNight I’m told) trainsets. I’m travelling in a “basic” sleeper compartment which, despite being labelled basic, comes with en-suite facilities.
Breakfast in the Czech @diningcar in EC175. Will then leave somewhere before Berlin and return possibly using some roundabout route with regional trains to Hamburg. #Interrail

🇮🇹🤝🇦🇹 With #ÖBB🇦🇹 #Nightjet 235, the wonderful #Italian🇮🇹 Riviera of Cinque Terre is only a sleep away from #Vienna🇦🇹 and #Munich🇩🇪 (or vice versa). Yesterday's trip was without delay, super smooth & only the heavy rainfall drummed on the wall of the cosy sleeper carriage. Breakfast was served while travelling on the beautiful Semmering Railway. Loved it 😍!

Hier mal wieder ein #Nachtzug-Update für @sebwilken: Im ÖBB #Nightjet Wien-Düsseldorf, 4 Wochen im Voraus mit Stornomöglichkeit bis 1 Tag vor Reiseantritt gebucht, kostet der Schlafwagenplatz (Triple) fast exakt das Gleiche wie eine 1. Klasse-Fahrt tagsüber, Double ca. € 50 mehr. Gegenüber der Fahrt am Tag mit dem ICE entfällt der Umstieg in Nürnberg oder Würzburg.
Hat jemand Erfahrung mit der #Fahrrad Mitnahme im ÖBB #Nightjet? Ich überlege, die Strecke München - Hamburg damit zu fahren. Frage mich, ob es entspannter als im #ICD der #DeutscheBahn ist.
Testing the new #ÖBB#Nightjet#USB charging ports. They are used in any type of sleeper cabin, even the mini “coffin” cabins which are actually pretty comfortable.

Sorry for the late reply. I did not see your question, but now I can also tell you from my second experience on my way back.
It is not perfect, jet, but all in all I can recommend the #nightjet
One tip: only bring one hand luggage, since the space in the cabin is very limited and the lockers only fit hand luggage.
This year, I've traveled to NL 🇳🇱 by #NightJet 🚆 twice: once to #DenBosch for the #QGIS Contributor Meeting and once to the EMERALDS project meeting in #Delft. While it may take a little longer than flying from #Vienna, it's perfectly reasonable and the night connection is so much better than the options during the day.
Probably the most innovative feature on the #ÖBB new generation #NightJet: the pod, the capsule, the mini-cabin, whatever you call it. Although sold as “couchette” it’s probably closer to a “sleeper”: a single-cabin at an affordable rate. Two levels of capsules: upper and lower.
Sagt mal ihr #Nightjet kundigen aus der #Fahrradbubble. Wenn der Zug keine Fahrradstellpätze anbietet. Kann man dann sein Rad mit ins Einzelabteil nehmen oder gibt das Ärger?
