Good night from #Vienna 🇦🇹 - and from on board the #ÖBB#nightjet to #Bregenz. This is one of the very stylish new #DaNi (for DayNight I’m told) trainsets. I’m travelling in a “basic” sleeper compartment which, despite being labelled basic, comes with en-suite facilities.
Some impressions from today’s voyage on board the first scheduled #ÖBB 🇦🇹 #RailjetNewGen service, southbound over the #Brenner line. Arriving at #Verona P.N. station 🇮🇹 at dusk. Beautiful scenery all along.

Hot take: The #ÖBB automated on-train announcements that append S-Bahn and U-Bahn line numbers to station names is not useful. Foreign passengers will just be confused by not hearing the station name clearly by itself. Domestic passengers know what S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines there are at each station.
(Hey, I said it is a hot take, and thus over-simplified and generalised.)
Anybody know why EC106/107 #PortaMoravica includes two #SBB cars (the other being a first class panorama car even), even though the train does not run even close to Switzerland? Is it simply that #ÖBB has a lack of suitable rolling stock and SBB has a surplus, so they have borrowed/leased a couple from SBB? #BahnBubble
🇦🇹🌅🍽 The beautiful Saturday afternoon #diningcar trip continues with a solid and classy fully-fledged #ÖBB🇦🇹 WRmz restaurant car with EC 107 "Porta Moravica" 🤩. This special train from #Przemyśl🇵🇱 to #Graz🇦🇹 comes also with a Swiss panorama car 😍. While slurping a Tyrolean farmer's dish from cornmeal with cranberry sauce I enjoyed a dark violet-red sunset! Fantastic!
Wie kommt man nur auf die Idee, im Zug am Notebook mit aufgedrehtem Lautsprecher einen Film anzusehen und das gesamte Zug-Abteil hört mit?
Es wird uns ewig nachhägen, dass Billa den Hausverstand gekauft hat ... 😔

Korrektur! Es ist nicht das Notebook 2 Reihen hinter mir sondern die ältere Dame einen Platz vor mir, die mit relativ lautem Handy am Ohr(!) ihre Telenovela anhört, als ob sie telefonieren würde. 😉
#Tegenlicht van @vprotegenlicht gezien. Over de belabberde staat van dienst van het internationale personenvervoer op het #Spoor. Vroeger was het echt beter. In één ruk naar Rome of Moskou. Ik word daar toch wel beetje droevig van, ondanks de inspanningen van de Oostenrijkse #ÖBB.
In the meantime I boarded today‘s #ÖBB#RailJet evening service “San Marco” from #Venice 🇮🇹 to #Vienna 🇦🇹. Nice views and, later on, dinner in a trains‘s @diningcar are among the lovely aspects of a relaxing journey.
🇮🇹🤝🇦🇹 With #ÖBB🇦🇹 #Nightjet 235, the wonderful #Italian🇮🇹 Riviera of Cinque Terre is only a sleep away from #Vienna🇦🇹 and #Munich🇩🇪 (or vice versa). Yesterday's trip was without delay, super smooth & only the heavy rainfall drummed on the wall of the cosy sleeper carriage. Breakfast was served while travelling on the beautiful Semmering Railway. Loved it 😍!
🇮🇹🚂🚃🚃 The stretch alongside #Cinqueterre's coastline towards #LaSpezia🇮🇹 is simply marvellous 🤩... especially when served together with a nice breakfast at a double sleeper🛌 compartment of #ÖBB's🇦🇹 #Nightjet-service №233! The two portions from #Munich🇩🇪 & #Vienna🇦🇹 arrived without delay 😍👍!
🇦🇹🤝🇮🇹 Today's wonderful #ÖBB🇦🇹 #Nightjet-service №233 to #LaSpezia🇮🇹 left #Vienna🇦🇹 right on time. We enjoy this special 16h #nighttrain-trip to the breathtaking coast of #Italy's Cinqueterre in a DOUBLE sleeper🌜 compartment and already chose our items for the breakfast🥐! Egg noodles with cheese🧀 was our dinner for today 😍!
Gestern habe ich #SimplyGo der #ÖBB zum Öffifahren benutzt: NÖ-(Zug)->Graz #Graz HBf-(GVB)->heim
Später dann:

Laut Werbung von SimplyGo! hätte ich für die drei Fahren in Graz "nur" eine 24h-Karte (6,40€) abgerechnet bekommen sollen, da dies billiger ist als drei Einzelfahrten (3x3€).
Doch stattdessen wurden die drei Einzelfahrten verrechnet.
Nun, dann werde ich wohl auf diese Funktion verzichten müssen, wenn's nicht klappt. 🤷
