#Israel has said it has informed the families of 31 people held in the territory since 7 October that their relatives are dead. The news came as the Qatari prime minister said #Hamas had given a “generally positive” response to proposals for a deal trading a break in the fighting and release of #Palestinian prisoners for the return of more #hostages.
Israeli newspaper #YediothAhronoth reported Thursday that #Indonesia had agreed to normalise its ties with #Israel. The media outlet said #Jakarta needed Israel to approve its request to join the #OECD.
The #TimesOfIsrael, confirmed the report, citing an Israeli official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity about Indonesia’s possible normalisation of ties with Israel. #Gaza#TootSEA
The concrete shelters in southern Israel are a necessity given the threat on our border. At the same time, many of these are beautifully decorated, and were showcased in this photo essay on #TimesOfIsrael by Cori Shalit, an American lone soldier in the IDF:
Doctors Without Borders (@MSF) confirmed that staff at Al Nasr Hospital in Gaza had to leave babies in #incubators behind as they evacuated southward, driven out by Israeli shelling. (I rarely link Washington Post because it’s behind a paywall) @israel@palestine
"shows [Hamas] missiles hitting cars, trucks, motorcycles & people on foot as pilots report hundreds of gunmen sweeping into Israel to attack nearby communities"
Those weren't Israeli missiles.
Helicopters don't launch missiles…[continue]
#Hamas is kidnapping and raping children and now, beheading babies. Responses of "finally #Israel is getting a taste of their own medicine" are...interesting.
I’ll look for a link to some reporting when I’m back at my desk. I’ve generally been following #TimesOfIsrael and #AlJazeera’s liveblogs today but work today’s been too busy for me to keep close tabs on those. Listening to the news on the radio is easier.
