I absolutely love when Mozart power naps on me. Tonight he flopped on my arm, and I rested my face on his fluffy but. My head was on my pillow, and his head and body was cradled in my arms. I was on my side. I fucking adore my rabbit. He's unbelievably magical, and I'm super blessed to have him in my life. He's so damn smart too. Mozart turns 1 today! My gorgeous familiar has made one whole trip around the sun! When I say familiar I mean my soulmate.

One of the other amazing things about Mozart is that he is born on Lord Mercury's holiday of May 15th. Mercuralia. A feasting holiday where you bless your modes of transportation, and honor Lord Mercury.
Realizing Mercury's holiday is Mozart's birthday just adds to the magic that was his coming home. I knew of Mercuralia, and even though Mercury has been my primary god for decades now, I really don't observe the holiday. It's geared towards merchants after all, and I'm not a merchant. So I didn't put 2 and 2 together till recently.
Still, there's soo much leading up to Mozart's coming. Year of the rabbit saw me fiending for a bunny. As I searched only one option was available to me, he was born on Lord Mercury's holiday, he was born with 2 white toes, marking him as "flawed". Ensuring that he'd be the one the breeder doesn't want. I call them his magic star toes. Everything about this rabbit is magic. He bonded to me extremely fast, which is unheard of for rabbits. As prey animals their trust must be earned. It usually takes 4 to 6 months. He was mine heart and soul day one, so rather uncanny.
I honestly believe he is the reincarnation of my familiar. Who has been, Salem, Waffles, Odin, and Scar. It's that same energy, a deep bond, so pure and genuine. My soulmate unmistakable no matter what his appearance. ❤️
I got before sleep bedtime cuddles and good morning wake up cuddles. I am such a happy bunmom.
