I just delivered a #radiogram .. it's like a telegram over #AmateurRadio .. via #MorseCode .. but the conditions were sketchy, and we had to relay the message.
Local Slow Nets are awesome for learning #CW Nets at a comfortable pace.
Very cool! It would be so fun to have it sound your texts out in Morse code. I still send all my friends messages using #morsecode . Sorta like a telegram.
I was awarded #SKCC Tribune Tx3 last night. Another stepping stone on my way to Tx8. Just 250 more members to reach Tx8 and then I can begin working towards senator in earnest.
The tricky part for those next 250 is that they need to be unique SKCCers who have already reached C, T, or S.
I was surprised (but not that surprised) to find many SKCC members never submit logs to advance, thus often having first-time contacts with unique members but not having the contact count towards progression.
I try not to think about that and instead focus on the good practice I'm getting at improving my #MorseCode skills.
I wanted to stop traveling with my J-38 straight key as it is a gift from a friend I don't want to damage. As a remedy, I found a miniature CW key, complete with 3.5mm jack, cable, and travel case for about 30 bucks on Amazon that turns out to be of nice quality. Hope someone else might find this useful: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ4X24J9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share#HamRadio#MorseCode#QRP#CW
