The Boathouse Tearoom on the lovely island of Ulva, off the west coast of the Isle of Mull. There's always something very special about an island that can only be reached from another island rather than directly from the mainland. The Art Deco former Georgic Restaurant on Union Street in Glasgow. Designed by Whyte and Galloway, it was built around 1930 for Peacock and Son. It featured a shop, a tea room, a restaurant, a smoke room and a reception room, with the kitchen being situated on the top floor.

The former Peacock's Tearoom on Union Street in Glasgow. Easily over looked, this is a rather elegant Art Deco building which exudes a sense of understated beauty. Designed by Whyte and Galloway, and built around 1930, this was probably one of the last great purpose-built Glasgow tea rooms.
