Everywhere is a sheet of ice!

Nearly broke my neck getting to a sidewalk, they were salted in , but places people parked into the sidewalk were ice too, the Saltmobile had to drive around bumpers.
I skated across intersections to get to the next sidewalk. it says 4°C, but the ground and pavement is well below freezing. Little speed bumps of rain runoffs in random locations.

Okay I'm going to describe something, that I'm thinking that some other people have too:

So, when I'm feeling very sad, emotional, and overwhelmed, and I just feel like I can't keep going. I have this sort of other hyper rational part of myself. I call it Outside Man, mostly because it feels like it hovers over the top of my ocean of my emotions, and can see things from outside of where I am. Outside Man is the one who tells me that emotions change and this intensity of feeling won't last forever, and I need to do the things I know will help my mental state.

Is this or something like this, something other people experience?

And yes, I know that it's probably inherently sexist that I call what I consider my more rational self by a male moniker, but I've called it that since I was a kid, and it's stuck. Hubs said Outside Man sounds like a horror movie!

I can say I actively live in 'watcher' mode, and I'm not sure how many people do that. Kind of hard to explain so if anyone can do it better, please do.

The watcher is kind of an essence or silent observer watching the physical me maneuver through life, no input or judgment, just the observation. I live at 2nd watcher level, the watcher watching the watcher watching physical me. Clear as mud, right?

I've had 5 TBIs, so maybe that's part of it?

I have always felt female. How beautiful I feel depends on the day.

I'm focused on how much peace I feel in who I am as I've gotten older. It's much more comforting. Being defined by others' limited perspectives is ridiculous anymore.

This is how we wash and freshen our rag rugs in in the .
It's important to leave the rag rug for a while outside before you wash it with the snow. It must be cold so it doesn't get wet. The snow doesn't melt.

I may have done this wrong.

First, it's not a rag rug, but a rubber-backed rug that has been through the washer and dryer. Maybe the heat has set the stains?

Can you explain the 'wash with snow?' I left it outside for 2 hours and kind of smushed it in the snow. No vigorous rubbing or anything.

I would like to try again. Help, please.🤷‍♀️

The Wall Street Journal reported that executives at Elon Musk's companies worry about his drug use.

At SpaceX, the outlet reported execs privately worried Musk was high during an "unhinged" staff meeting.
Per The Journal, Musk was an hour late and rambled for 15 minutes before SpaceX's president took over.
