Yeah. Best they can do is… a few bullshit gestures that will go no where.

unless they win.

Too bad Orcas don’t eat junk food very regularly.

Well. Picard would moralize a bit too much before getting on Arch. but, he ain’t wrong.

why do I get the feeling, Radar gets away with napping during the work day, too?

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

She’s a gambling addict. They should just give her the payout, they’ll get it back eventually

A lot of times it’s not “clients” at all.

I work as a manager in contract security.

My favorite was this time an 22 year old kid couldn’t complete the application. He kept calling asking how to fill it out. Questions like, “what goes in “name”… age. Literally everything.

The HR staff basically told him that speaking and writing technical English, and being able to fill out forms was a job requirement and if he was unable to complete the application (which really is basic.) he’s unqualified.

Guy’s dad was a lawyer. It was probably a set up to scam us. The only proper response was “all communications go through our legal team. [click]”.

Ultimate the lawyer got disbarred for threatening legal action unless we paid them a settlement, while not actually taking said action. It was almost hilarious.

Slightly different in that he didn’t to pursue things, the asshole employee that maced a bunny rabbit and tried to sue us for wrongful termination. (Legal team would reply to the “would you just like to settle?” Offer by sending a video of him macing the bunny. Iirc, the lawyers decided to no longer represent him. He went through three or four firms. (Don’t lie to your lawyers…)

(Edited for clarity and and some extra details.)

No, he’s just going to waggle more fingers because he thinks that’s what we want to see.

you need to have a USS Hard first.

which vaguely sounds like a soft core porno with a bunch of sweaty sailors.

Greater Idaho movement: 13 counties in eastern Oregon have voted to secede and join Idaho (ktvz.com)

On Tuesday, voters in Crook County passed measure 7-86, which asked voters if they support negotiations to move the Oregon/Idaho border to include Crook County in Idaho. The measure is passing with 53% of the vote, and makes Crook County the 13th county in eastern Oregon to pass a Greater Idaho measure.

Wait 'till they find out it’s all ohio already.

Honestly , I just clip the 2-3” off the front and not worry about it. It’s a minuscule amount of plastic

If you’re trying to be ultra frugal, yes, you can probably clean it off with a solvent. IPA might work. Goo gone would but introduces all sorts of other contaminants.

FuglyDuck,

I mean, honestly, it’s commendable.

I’d try IPA for the stuff in the middle. Or something like those blue 3m scrubbies.

18+ How do things get stuck in the anus?

I have seen a lot of stories online of people getting things stuck in there and doctors having to remove it, even items like cucumbers. I get that an item with a highly irregular shape could get stuck. But if it’s something long and rounded, why can people not just poop it out? Is it because the item isn’t soft enough?

Just a friendly reminder: flared bases are important

FuglyDuck,

Actually, isn’t there a law says normal citizens aren’t allowed to represent the US or otherwise negotiate with foreign powers like this?

FuglyDuck,

“I am the storm. Cuddle me.” -cat, maybe.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah. First thought?

“NERD!!!” (My kinda nerd, though.)

Second thought? “Wow those bits are tiny.”

Quite impressive! Well done.

Drunken Murder Mitten style.

It’s very similar, but you can tell by the chaotic movements.

I'm really annoyed by how much Brave Search is pushing AI

I’ve been using Brave Search supplemented by Startpage for the past 2+ years. When I search for something, I want to get results for credible webpages, not a summary of unknown quality. I liked the previous AI inclusion because it was instant, didn’t take up much space, and I could quickly navigate to the websites referenced...

pi-holes can’t stop websites you use from collecting your data. they’ve already started accepting cash for things (by way of mobile browser.). it’s only a matter of time before it slides into more things- if it hasn’t already.

currently I’m using start-page and it’s good enough for my needs. The advantage there is they’re in the EU, and have enhanced privacy requirements

Edit: I’ve used Firefox since their first beta. Now I feel old…

I know what you mean, but it was from a “gawk at rich people” site. 50/50 odds it was at least pitched to some rich fuck.

sooo much shit, it’s hard to keep it all in one post.

I dunno. It definitely will incentivize “otherising” of the Jewish diaspora. Which may be a tertiary objective of it. And it will definitely lead to increased conflict.

Which is a shame because most the Jews I know well enough to talk to about it, are extremely anti-genocide, and they’re vocal about it because… they know “I’m Jewish, [awkward stare]” is a great way to not get dinged for politics at work. (At least when the political topic is Gaza.)
