Thanks for the extensive documentation?

(For example, position is optional. What will passing nil do?)

Please just turn the docs into a wiki, or an OSS repo that accepts PRs.

@chucker Apple’s developer docs need some investment. Relying on third parties to make YouTube videos is not a viable way of documenting APIs.

In the early 80s there was the belief that AI was just a matter of time. That quickly ground to a halt. But now we’re back! For real this time 🤔

I added some bright stars to my iOS app “What’s Up” at a user’s suggestion. You’re very welcome to try out the beta.

The LISP Machine was a computer designed around a specific programming language: LISP. In 1979 it had networking, windowing, high res graphics, and 12K of standard memory.

Forgotten technology. The Casio E-100 was an amazing Palm-size PC from 1999. With a great color screen and a fast CPU, it could actually play those MP3 audio files you had obtained from somewhere and then stored on a Compact Flash card. All that power in your pocket!

Saw #argylle in the theatre. I’m not sure why this movie didn’t do well, it’s hilarious and adorable and action packed and fun. It is about 15 minutes too long, but it’s got three or four long action scenes that are fun and innovative. Bryce Dallas Howard is a joy.

@shanselman alternative viewpoint: it was awful. Long, tedious, predictable, boring..

Now LinkedIn has ✨AI Responses✨ that allow you to AUTOMATE PARTICIPATION in its swagless, digital cubical farm of a culture

Part of what I have always detested about LinkedIn as a time and energy sink is how perfectly it mirrored the vacant cultural average of work

Which makes sense: it's the place to hire and get hired, so you perform to the culture

And it's really funny to see that equation now play out in the age of AI:

let the robot perform FOR you

GrantMeStrength,

@danilo a lot of communication is already. And then summarized by another llm. I like it, as too many people here write in pretentious bizness speak.

RealityOS tinkering. Over the weekend I found that to highlight the entity you are gazing at, you need to add the HoverEffectComponent:

if let sphere = scene.findEntity(named: "Sphere") {
sphere.components.set(HoverEffectComponent())

content.add(sphere)
}

@pixel the way RealityKit works is, in fact, weird.
