Daily #Wales continues the Clough Williams-Ellis theme from yesterday’s Plas Brondanw with his best-known project: Portmeirion. Seen from Ynys, across the estuary.
Daily #Wales coming from the garden today, as my Iris sibirica are at their best and there’s a storm forecast (we missed yesterday’s by about 10 miles). So it’s also a #bloomscrolling.
Daily #Wales today is NOT a pic of last night’s aurora (seen it all amazing with the naked eye when a kid in Sutherland anyway, no, not sulking because I missed it, why would you think that). It’s a pic of the estuary, with bonus Not My Labrador refusing to come out. Again.
Two days of great weather and then the haar rolled in. Daily #Wales watched it approach early evening from the sea, almost - but not quite - like something from a John Carpenter movie…
Bank holiday today, so Daily #Wales is staying at home (lots of visitors around; unbelievably terrible driving, narrow roads) and contemplating the garden. The Melianthus major is flowering, so it qualifies as a #bloomscrolling - and an example of what happens if you don’t cut a Melianthus back. Good!
We didn’t have local ejections (oops) in #Wales on Thursday, but we did have PCC elections. We have four police and crime commissioners in the country; three are Labour, one is Plaid; two are women and two are men. And one of the women is the first black female PCC in the UK. Ever.
Daily #Wales today is the result of a beach crawl (much the same as a pub crawl but with added sand). It’s addictive - once you’ve got your eye in & spotted the first cowrie lurking, you just have to continue…
(Arctic and Spotted Cowries, Flat Periwinkles, a very worn Pelican’s Foot Shell - but mostly cowries) #beach#shells
