I for one am glad she's back...because that quote below is my life for the last five years; the world in microcosm:
"You admit you're scared. You admit you don't know what to do. You stop. You listen. You look for answers. You come up with a plan. You abandon your previous assumptions about reality. You adjust to the new reality in front of you." #climate#COVID#COVID19#CovidIsNotOver

I think the lessons we are forced against our will to learn, well, for me those have the most profound effect. A both bitter and sanguine blessing.
The mother hen on the allotment field now has only three babies. I'm sure there were around 9 or 10 a couple of weeks ago.
Stigg lets the birds roam free, he let the cockerel breed, he doesn't care if the birds or chicks live or die, he only got them to piss the council off. A dog killed a hen a few days ago, he laughed. He feeds them stale white bread and they have no shelter.
The council have told him to get rid of them, especially the cockerel but he won't. #gardening#allotment#chickens
I love scavenging the back alleys. I found this! Its a mini trash can, based on the sort of thing we actually put rubbish in when I was young. It had mould inside, so I'm assuming it may have been meant to be for kitchen scraps outside. One of the handles was broken so that was fixed. No idea what to use it for, but its cool.

LOL Mia, you should see my yard. I just spent 20 minutes trying to find space for a small pot.๐ This spring has been mostly removing stuff from the yard after four years of cramming it all in.
An overhead shot of the downslope allotment from a raised perspective. I stood on the neighbours fence! Well, I've been digging over his area for him and getting access via the fence, so I took the opportunity. #gardening#allotment
The woodland bank is looking lush at this time of year. I'm kind of proud of this little wasteland area that has become such a variety of green and flowers. #gardening
@MostlyTato Wow, that's fantastic! Got back from my wandering to find all sorts of things blooming in the garden so, now I've finally got round to setting up my camera (only 3 years late!), I'll post some pictures either tomorrow or Monday.
Seriously though - good work ๐
The problem for searching for a search engine that doesn't use AI is that you are using an AI search engine to search for it.
I'm not sure, but I think this may act as a metaphor for far too much. IDK, maybe I should do a web search on that. #AI#browser#web#internet
"I felt a great disturbance in the Force...as if millions of voices cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. But they were Tories, so its all cool." #MayThe4thBeWithYou#ukpolitics
FML I look at that parade of thieves in the background and it makes me sick, angry and aghast that so many fuckwits fall for the rhetoric:/
Lets get the bastards out then we can concentrate on the next lot of corrupt scamming bastards!
Not taken a pic of Hendrix for a while, though I saw him the other day, so here is a slightly older pic.
He's funny, he doesn't like hoomans talking to each other, he gets the hump, sods off, comes back to see if they have stopped than sods off again if they haven't!
Bless him, he's my little pal and its always a joy to bump into him.
This spot is where we go so he can rollypolly for me at face level. #Caturday#CatsOfMastodon#MastoCats
The woodland bank looking particularly verdant. Its been there for over three years now, so is quite mature for a little patch of guerrilla gardening. Its very low maintenance, just remove the fallen oak leaves in spring, and weed out any aggressive plants (I'm looking at you wild strawberries) in summer. #gardening
(I know no-one reads the sub-toot but...)
I'm strangely proud of this spare bit of land. It was a forest of weeds in 2020. I never meant to do anything with it other than cut a path to behind the garage, but my natural tendencies took over...
My life had just started again after a time when I was convinced it was over. My situation had forced me to learn how to listen, to observe, to try and understand, and somehow, landscaping and planting this wasteland seemed to move in concert with that.
