Is there any medicine that can give me happy hormones and does not need a doctor's prescription?
Things are becoming more depressing every day and I can’t afford for professionals and don’t want to jump to the last resort or drugs. Is there a medicine that can make me happy if I take it in proper doses and does not require a doctor’s prescription?
what's your favorite thing about Lemmy?
went to my first protest today :33 (lemmy.blahaj.zone)
If you could split yourself into a copy of yourself, how many copies would you make to satisfy all your wishes?
You can regularly sync your memories with your copies (either one way or both ways)
What Major Social Media Platforms Would You Like To See Federated Alternatives To That Don't Exist Yet? (lemmy.ml)
Pretty much in the title. Maybe you wouldn’t even use it, but would like to simply see it exist for the sake of having a federated alternative....
With all the talk about privacy, people seem to be forgetting that censorship is also a major problem for today's internet. (lemmy.world)
Many “alternative” search engines are better for privacy, but they are still vulnerable to censorship, because they rely on g**gle and m*crosoft’s indices for their search results. This isn’t a deep-hidden secret either, many of them disclose what search index they use on the “about” page, for example:...
Wafrn is a tumblr clone that connects to the fediverse (app.wafrn.net)
if this counts as spam sorry not sorry. I created a tumblr clone two years ago. And then I conected it to the fedi like a year ago. its been hard, its buggy and its fun. Did a big redesign during christmas
Why are redditors like this?
I made a post on r/civ (Civilization games subreddit) showing a really funky shaped randomly generated river I saw and most comments were fine but one guy was convinced that I went through the comparatively monumental effort of opening the map editor and changing the river for karma, as opposed to just starting the game and...
Tell us your definitive "I really should not do this" moment.
Ever had one those moments in life when you know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, you are making a very, very bad decision, with a great chance for instant regret and a miserable, probably long lasting, outcome and notheless followed that path?...
Let your weired flag fly!
What do you secretly, and weiredly enjoy doing? We will not judge 😊

Running a Haxe Docker Image on Gitpod? (hub.docker.com)
Has anybody managed to get this to work, using any version of Haxe or any OS? Every one I try has various errors and won’t load. 😅...

Federated Fanfiction Platform?
Is there a Fediverse option for hosting fanfiction, or maybe web novels/serials/etc? Like an AO3 alternative, basically. I looked around but couldn't find one, the closest thing that kinda works are the blogging platforms like writefreely. If there isn't, do you think fanfiction would be a good candidate for federation?

Just some of the ones that happen to be doing anything interesting right now:...
Share images from Pixelfed?
I saw somewhere that, instead of attaching images directly to Lemmy posts, you should instead post them to a Pixelfed instance and link to it. If a lot of people did that, it should reduce the load on Lemmy instances. I made a Pixelfed account so I could do that, but I don't like that people have to click through to see the...
Test (assets.pxlmo.com)
Trying to see if linking directly to an externally hosted image will make it show without clicking through. I want to reduce the load on Lemmy instances by externally hosting images, but it's annoying for the image not to show up in feed...

This might be a weird post, but I'm getting the impression that in these early days, content is content?...
Migrating Content?
Would it be bad etiquette, for us who are leaving the other site, to recreate some of our old posts on Lemmy? EDIT: Not like for clout or something. I mean because there was like a decade's worth of preserved knowledge across lots of really niche domains over there. Stuff that maybe isn't even recorded anywhere else.
Utensil Holder (lemmy.one)
Assistive tech for people that have trouble holding forks/spoons/etc. Made from my favorite lesser known material, polyhydroxyalkanoates, which is fully biodegradable in any biome. Anyone else making AT for people?
