Just how fucked are we?

Well, this is the year in which I've finally seen how integrated authoritarian politics, exploitative economics and all forms of media and journalism really are.

These forces are against economic justice, any meaningful climate action, social freedom and equality and peaceful human relations (they are, for example, very pro-war). They hide behind words evacuated of meaning like "free speech" and "democracy".

There is NO hope in governments, NO hope in capitalism, NO hope in what is now most often lowest common denominator or client media.

The world they sell you is a lie. And they are all selling the same thing.

**QUESTION **
I told Nick what happened at the grocery store the other day. I'm in the produce section and a guy (probably in his 30's) comes to me and asks me to help him pick a cucumber 🥒. He asks what do I look for, how firm? So I show him, tell him to squeeze it it. Anyway I didn't think anything of it. Until Nick said the guy was flirting and possibly hitting on me & that I should have flirted back. What do you all think? Was the guy really flirting? I think he just needed help.

He arrived at on 26 August 1942 in a transport ot 1,000 Jews deported from Drancy. He was among 908 of them murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
