This powerful, hope-imparting 12-minute overview from #Maddow gave me back my foundation.
It reminded me of my personal responsibility to support election workers, court workers, and others who are doing the dangerous job of keeping our #legal system functioning.
It reminded me not to be cowed.
If it does the same for you, maybe #boost this so others get the same inspiration.
President Biden answered questions from Peter Doocy of Fox News after the KC Chiefs event concluded.
Doocy: Do you think this conviction helps Trump in the election?
Biden: I have no idea.
Doocy: Are you worried this could happen to you someday? Somebody comes up with some charges and tries to bring you into court after your term?
Biden: Not at all. I didn't do anything wrong. The system still works.

@w7voa Fox should be kicked off the WH press corps. These crimes (someone didn't just "come up" with them) began before Trump was in the WH but there goes Fox twisting reality for their moronic, drooling base of viewers.
@mackayim2022 I recently heard the clarification that the disease is now known as mpox while the virus is still monkeypox virus. A bit 'o trivia (I'm not trying to school you on this, I know you know it).
"People need to understand dementia is a progressive illness, which means the Trump you see today is the best Trump you’re ever going to see. It’s all downhill from here. Trump’s rate of decline is accelerating, and if he’s typical, at some point, he will “fall off a cognitive cliff”"
In the near future a mass of people are going to die in a city from the heat, and the headlines will say that "it wouldn't have been so bad except the power went out"
Heat is going to take down power systems. The power systems that could protect us from an event, will be harmed by the event.
618 people in Canada, in the mountains, in the forest, died of a #climate heat event, on the floors of their homes, on their beds. No flames. Just a days heat.
The power stayed on, it would have been worse
@kevinrns The way I read that, there are no instructions yet for how an individual would apply for whatever sort of credit each state has in their program. The states and territories have to apply for the money, which will fund state and territory programs, however each one designs it.
@MisuseCase Yes it would. Knowing how states behave, the federal govt surely knows that people in some states will get little to nothing while others get the benefit. @kevinrns
@carpingdiem I keep trying them without getting many birds interested. A lot of the time they just go to waste. Maybe there's just a lot of live snacks around here for them to pick instead.
Pro tip: Before returning your rental car, make sure you delete your phone contacts and travel history from the onboard infotainment systems. The rental agency isn’t going to do it for you.
@spacerog Or, don't allow the car to download your contacts at all. That's what I do. You can still use the bluetooth to play media from your phone. Just delete your device when you turn in the car.
@_L1vY_ If you're running Win10 it should have already been annoyingly warning you if your computer can't be updated to Win11. If you're running Win10 you're safe from Copilot and associated bullshit.
