Greetings everyone, my name is Numberz. This is my personal blog where I post my thoughts as well as share my YouTube content and Drawings. I create a varity of content covering Open Source Software, ranging from the topics about Fediverse Software to Open Source games. @ielenia @BlahajBlast A recent example of this would be NexusMods. They straight up hated me the second I tried to login to the site. A few searches later and I found all the mods I wanted hosted on a site that needs no login 😁

@ChaosKitsune Is there a way you can make a plugin similar to the pronouns one where it can scan the users profile and pick up a key trait about them. For example "I am an artist" and it would put (Artist) in brackets next to their username.

I'm not sure how it works so this might be a tall order but I thought it would be cool :neocat_laugh_sweat:

I dont think cutebot is using my plural plugin but it seems people have adopted added "posted by __" at the end of their posts in small text. Idk if this is my fault but I only started seeing stuff like this after I made plural plugin lol

@ielenia @ChaosKitsune They are awesome tools. I'd be a bit lost when interacting with some of my Friends here without it. I get not everyone wants to install a plugin but I hope Sharkey considers adding at least the pronouns one and the plural one as default features.

@ChaosKitsune @ielenia @luna It sounds like it's something that has been a long time coming. I know that FireFish attempted to do something similar with their code and I've heard Amelia complain about it when were talking about Sharkey before I did the video.

@ChaosKitsune @ielenia @luna That's a shame that they have that stance. It's not their failure and the FireFish situation should be looked at as a lesson and not cited as a reason to not move forward with improvements. It's clear FireFish bit off way more than it could chew.

I think it's smart to work on this part of the project first, FireFish would have probably done better if they made that decision before they launched their software into the public.
