Hi there, my name is Andy, I'm from Belgium.
I spend most of my free time digitising and restoring classic video game magazines, mostly from the UK.
I've been doing this for nearly 20 years now and I'm here to share my passion for these magazines with others.
I love to read and talk about gaming memories from years gone by.

My main hobbies are gaming, both modern and retro gaming, as well as Japanese, South Korean and classic Hong Kong cinema.

I was watching a video on the review scores for Paper Mario and this popped up.

They really are completely clueless about everything aren't they?
How is this a good look when trying to advertise your AI crap?

Never mind the linking of the Vulcan salute with the phrase "Resistance is futile".

But actually thinking that it's a great way to advertise this crap by stating that it'll swallow everything up, no matter wether we fight it or not.

Yeah, brilliant advertisement there! :cat_ick:

I've seen a couple of amazing videos of the comet fragment that shot over Portugal and Spain last Sunday, but I wanted to share my favourite one in case people hadn't seen it.

A girl filming herself outside at night as a blue, greenish comet shoots overhead and lights up the entire sky as she turns around in awe to watch it.

Unicorn Overlord for PS5 is just £32 right now at Amazon UK for people in the EU.
Just under £27 for people in the UK, I believe.
Be quick though as last week, when it was £36, it sold out really quickly.

Preview for Killzone 2 on Playstation 3 from GamesMaster 203 - October 2008 (UK)

While the game had it's issues, especially with input latency, I loved playing this one online.
The various modes during each round were such a breath of fresh air compared to the normal deathmatch stuff.

Look, I really like the HappyConsoleGsmer channel but titling your video “overrated games” with covers of Pokemon and Sonic 1 crossed out and then starting the video with “put away your pitchforks” while wanting to talk about why these games are “overhyped”does not compute.

You know exactly what you’re doing when putting out a video like this and how it’s gone get a ton of clicks, no matter how you try to spin it.

Just 4 episodes into Shogun and I’m so glad to be able to say that without any shadow of a doubt, all my misgivings and fears about this series have been put to rest.

I was afraid that it would fall into the same trap as something like The Last Samurai, but that’s not the case at all. The opposite in fact.

Terrific story do far, beautifully shot and wonderfully acted.

If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend you give it a chance.

CVG 140 - July 1993 (UK) has just been added to the magazine catalogue.

Another issue that I was able to finish thanks to buying a new copy from Mort as my old one was missing the beautiful poster inside.

And yes, this one is 164 pages so it clocks in at just under 500MB. :blobcatscared:

While not the best Samurai Warriors game for me personally, as that honour goes to 4 and 4-II.
Samurai Warriors 5 is still a ton of fun and it’s just €19 right now at Amazon Holland for PlayStation 4.

Another thing I don’t normally do is recommend random streamers.
But there are exceptions to everything I guess.

While I don’t enjoy Battlefield any more these days, sadly, I used to play it all the time up to BF5.

Yet I still love watching his daily highlight videos.
His channel got hacked yesterday by some crypto scum and he just got it back, but lost a bunch of subs.
So if you like his videos, I know you’ll make his day.

This one is not indicative of the vids

Continuing to play Ketsui on PS4 and loving every minute of it.
I'm confident that I'll be able to platinum it as well, which is the last thing I was expecting to say about a Cave game. 😂

I decided to go back to the PS3 version to unlock some trophies there as well as I mainly played on 360 back then. My 360 games are in storage right now though.

I forgot how much fun the X Mode was in this release.
Again, highly recommend both versions.

I really love this video.
Despite the clickbaity title, he’s extremely level headed in everything he puts forward.
And picks on one of my biggest pet peeves: the authoritative critic, who words their opinion pieces in such a way that leaves no room for different viewpoints or experiences.

I actually didn’t have the original Castlevania back in the day. A friend did, so I did play it lots.
But I did get Simon’s Quest and loved it, despite being imperfect. 😊

I was in the mood for some arcade gaming yesterday after work, so I started playing some Gun.Smoke, 19XX, GigaWing, Final Fight on Capcom Arcade Stadium.
Then I moved on to Ketsui Deathtiny on PS4, by Cave and M2, which is exclusive to the system.

It's one of the Cave games I'm not actually good at, but I love it nonetheless and the new modes are just brilliant!

The Deathtiny one especially is actually very easy with a tiny hitbox. So much fun!
