@dgar Totally get that but time is not on my side, ever. Sooo, knowing that there is one entry from someone who interacts and occasionally comes up with a decent joke, I thought one may be about all I could manage. The rest may be great but I really haven't been in a music sort of place recently. At least that one vote will be counted.
Good morning fellow Mastos and hello to Tuesday. We are back home in Yorkshire after a long day driving yesterday. Looks like it might rain which comes as a surprise after the great weather we had up north.
I hope you all have a perfect day today. Remember to have fun, no matter what you are up to. Stay safe.
Today's random photo is from last week in Buckpool. It makes me wonder what happened to the cyclists!
@NormanDunbar Better than I have been, thank you. I've found a nice cave to hide in. There's no peopling or socialising needed at all, it's a cave so housekeeping is minimal and with only one entrance, I can defend it easily.
Caves can be a bit damp but a good fire draws the water out, and a hammock with reindeer skins keeps the cold out. All that's left to keep out are the sodding arachnids but peppermint seems to do that.
@NormanDunbar They only bother me when they have a nibble. I've had a few spider bites recently and they itch reeeeeeeeeeealy badly. Apparently in the UK, those ones with a tiny body and long legs are the most common ones to munch your bits at night.
Horse chestnuts? Really? Worth knowing.
I got reindeer skins some years ago. The people who were selling them live near me and were selling drinking horns too! They're lovely to snuggle under. Imported from Northern Scandinavia, from the Saami?
@NormanDunbar they are but I can't remember which bit of lapland, wonderful part of the world though. And Satan lives there too. Or is it Santa? Meh they're both big and red and have the same letters in their names.
You can only be wrong about the stuff you're not right about but I'm told that the matrimonial nod covers all the exceptions and saves arguments.
@NormanDunbar As for the spiders, yes the few I've had have been very itchy and left marks for some time. Fortunately the spiders responsible were thoughtful enough to nibble bits that no one gets to see.
@NormanDunbar Wonder what the going price for a soul is. I mean, it's not something you can value really is it? So what would Santa pay for a soul? Or was it a sole? Either foot or fish? Did the dyslexic person get a good exchange rate for the Dover sole/insole for his shoe/soul? There are questions that need answering here.
@NormanDunbar Saw a sodding spider right next to my bed this morning. I mean, I really don't mind them, they do some great stuff but equally I don't like the itchy nibbles. Just tooted about it a minute ago...
I mentioned walls of moss, but I am tragically unable to choose just one picture worth my delight at this short but intensely mossy path. You can breathe the green just looking at the pictures.
@Tattooed_Mummy@grb090423 This is why # ALT4you is such a wonderful thing. I have very limited near vision (anything over 1m is fine) so to see images I need to connect to my home tv screen, whilst on the move, alt text is the only way. Hearing that someone replied laughing at people not being able to see is no different to someone laughing at a person in a wheelchair struggling to cross a busy road or narrowly missing a train. Grrrrrrrr!
