One of my students’ projects was to research tools that we could 3D print for others in our school. One of the tools that we ended up was a microscope phone mount for our science classes.

This also was great mounted on my today at home as we got ready to look at the with a solar filter. Much easier to share and talk about what we see as well as take photos and videos. Accessibility options benefit everyone.

The unmanned missions to Mars have been a wealth of information and have been exciting vehicles to follow. Great rovers for my students to learn about and imagine operating. Fun for me too. Sad news, but such a great experiment! Keep pushing the limits and testing new ideas. I cannot wait to see where we go next.

Jessie’s girl HAS A NAME, unlike the horse.

Salimonyous,

@MissingThePt Jessie’s girl later became Stacy’s mom. A woman so legendary she inspired music through at least two generations.

My coffee taste like soap again. I realized that it only taste like this when I also eat these gluten free cookies. The cookies and coffee taste fine on their own, but combine the two and SOAP.

Salimonyous,

@grumpygamer Have you tested how it cleans? Maybe you are on to something.

Test a little more and we might be able to name the reaction after you. Ron-mogrify? The Gilbert Reaction? That sounds like a 90’s Keanu Reeves movie…

Seriously, my coffee tastes like soap but getting up and making more is too hard so keep drinking it.

Salimonyous,

@grumpygamer I wish I could not empathize with you on this as easily as I can. I do not have to imagine that feeing at all.

Tonight I'm turning off the phone and reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown because I'm more interested in it than my daughter. It's OK to read kids as an adult right?

@bookstodon

Salimonyous,

@willelm @bookstodon Yes, it absolutely is. Recommended even. Children’s lit has a lot to offer.

ok hear me out. the next jurassic park has muppets fighting dinosaurs. slam dunk. will make millions. I've already cast this guy

Salimonyous,

@ElleGray I am convinced there is not a single movie that could not be remade better with muppets. The hardest to cast is always which one human should remain.

i should go outside more. there really isn't any need for me to be at home all the time, especially not now that the weather is so nice. i've got no excuses for going outside though. i can see the sun from here. outside is full of people but i can't talk to them since they're complete strangers. there's a lake just north of the city that i could go to and take photos of, but i mean, meh?

Salimonyous,

@An0n @thor I went out alone for a long time. It was fine. Gave me a destination for my wandering and helped me to explore and learn about the city I had moved into. I know it so well now, lots of hidden places in bigger cities. Started seeing a lot of the same names and folks on the trails and made some long time friends eventually too, which is no small bonus. Mostly a good excuse to go explore new parks and trails.
