I find this “playful” UX design that seems to be en vogue incredibly annoying. If your model has ended the conversation, just say that. Don’t say it might be time to move on, if there isn’t another option.
I don’t want my software to address me as if I were a child.
Regardless of whether that’s true, it doesn’t make sense as a reason. “Our customers have less reading comprehension, that’s why we make our UX less clear.”
My old $200 Motorola G9 Power phone lasted almost 4 years with only very minor scratches. Obviously in that period I have dropped it a few times getting out of the car, where the phone sometimes work itself out of my pant pocket while I drive, and then it slips out when I get out of the car. But no problem on my previous phones,...
That does make sense, I guess. I forget that most people aren’t hardcore privacy nuts sometimes. I’m currently on a OnePlus with a custom rom, which’ll probably be good for a few more years, but the only new phone I’d consider at the moment would be a pixel with Graphene.
but I don’t see why a one plus should be any better than Xiaomi
It likely isn’t. I just got it very cheap some years back, and don’t see a good reason to replace it while it still works.
a random ROM with possible unknown interference should be safer/better regarding privacy
You could always have bad actors, of course, but these Roms tend to be mostly open source community projects, so the incentive structure leading to bad behaviour seems less clear to me, and such behaviour would theoretically be more detectable (how much anyone actually audits the code in practice is another question, of course.) In the end, running any Software you haven’t written yourself involves a certain amount of trust.
Because telling them “I’m not allowed to answer that question.” isn’t going to make them look it up themselves anyway. I mean, you could lie to them, but I can’t imagine that being a popular policy.
Even if the sentiment behind this wasn’t so horrid, this is just stupid.
Considering I have been called “overly stoic”, “unsentimental”, and “unemotional” by romantic partners, and my therapist tells me it isn’t healthy to bottle up my emotions, I may just have seen myself somewhere in there.
In a Reddit Q&A, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman let slip that he wants the company to be able to generate “NSFW stuff” for users — and he has examples of just what kind of “stuff” he means....
I don’t really see the harm in that, if someone wants to erp an ai, they’ll find a way. If I remember correctly, OpenAI already isn’t all that rigorous with banning people who break the ToS in that way.
If you wanna court the laptop oem market, windows is the safer bet.
Depending on how in-depth they co-operated with the windows for arm team, keeping some details confidential till launch might have also been easier that way.
Those are pretty common in most European countries I’ve been to too, though often more monochrome. They just seem like less of a hastle than paper tags, if properly implemented.
Yeah, but the article itself uses a downsized version of the image. Actually being able to see a lot more detail when opening the full size one is nice.
Meh, den Smart fortwo gibt es nicht mehr, die neuen Modelle sind nicht mehr so klein.
