Lopa has an ongoing feud with a pair of very inquisitive magpies. They stalk her in the garden, calling aggressively and try to mob her. This kind of behaviour is very common with magpies and foxes. They spat, but ultimately tolerate each other. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I spent some time tidying the garden today. Lopa came out to watch and just settled in a corner enjoying the mild weather. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I took this one last night. It's quite typical of recent weeks. Lopa is active and happy to be seen, but a second (male) fox stays in the background watching her, and backing away if I even look like I might approach. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I took this close-up of Lopa the vixen this afternoon. The light wasn't great (hence the b/w treatment) but she was being very cooperative. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Looking forward to some warmer weather, though you can never be certain! This photo of Lopa marching purposefully down the garden was taken at dusk a couple of days ago. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I've been very lazy with the camera lately, but I did take some photos of Lopa last night once the worst of the recent weather had moved away. This is just outside our back door. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Lopa the vixen relaxing in last week's sunshine. Hopefully we'll get some more decent weather soon. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Here's Lopa the vixen (in the foreground) with Stripe (male) coming down the steps to greet her. Nice to see the pair of them together and getting on. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/ #fox #nature #wildlife #photography

@thepoliticalcat I'm not sure. They do hang about together, and she's mated in previous years so it's more than likely.

I took this in the early hours of Friday morning. The lovely Lopa strolling around the garden as though she owns it. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Some late afternoon sun brightened up the garden, as did Lopa who decided to take a stroll on the 'lawn'. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Lopa is showing up most nights but this is a daytime shot taken last week of her standing on our garden path. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

One more from the recent visit by Stripe and Lopa. Stripe is the one laying down in the foreground. He's usually quite shy so seeing them together was a bit of a treat. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I wasn't expecting two foxes to show up in the winter sunshine today, but they did and here they are. Lopa is sitting up on the left and Stripe (a male) is the one wandering down the garden. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/
