Lopa the vixen sitting around, surveying the view. Taken earlier in the week. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I took this one last night. It's quite typical of recent weeks. Lopa is active and happy to be seen, but a second (male) fox stays in the background watching her, and backing away if I even look like I might approach. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I took this close-up of Lopa the vixen this afternoon. The light wasn't great (hence the b/w treatment) but she was being very cooperative. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Looking forward to some warmer weather, though you can never be certain! This photo of Lopa marching purposefully down the garden was taken at dusk a couple of days ago. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I've been very lazy with the camera lately, but I did take some photos of Lopa last night once the worst of the recent weather had moved away. This is just outside our back door. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Lopa the vixen relaxing in last week's sunshine. Hopefully we'll get some more decent weather soon. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Here's Lopa the vixen (in the foreground) with Stripe (male) coming down the steps to greet her. Nice to see the pair of them together and getting on. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/ #fox #nature #wildlife #photography

@thepoliticalcat I'm not sure. They do hang about together, and she's mated in previous years so it's more than likely.

I took this in the early hours of Friday morning. The lovely Lopa strolling around the garden as though she owns it. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Some late afternoon sun brightened up the garden, as did Lopa who decided to take a stroll on the 'lawn'. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Lopa is showing up most nights but this is a daytime shot taken last week of her standing on our garden path. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

One more from the recent visit by Stripe and Lopa. Stripe is the one laying down in the foreground. He's usually quite shy so seeing them together was a bit of a treat. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

And to end today's flurry of bird photos we have the borb that is the Long-tailed tit posing side on for me in the woods today.

@JimsPhotos Such pretty little birds.

I wasn't expecting two foxes to show up in the winter sunshine today, but they did and here they are. Lopa is sitting up on the left and Stripe (a male) is the one wandering down the garden. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Almost a week into the New Year so time for a new photo of Lopa the vixen. I took this a couple of nights ago. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Lopa the vixen - not much more to be said about this one. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

Psychedelic Furs - Love My Way (Live, Pasadena 1983) (m.youtube.com)

The Psychedelic Furs recorded this strangely mesmerizing  live version of Love My Way at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, US in 1983, for a tv music programme. It has a slower tempo than the album version from Forever Now (1982), yet the timing is very even and Richard Butler is pitch perfect....

I took this last night. It's Lopa the vixen at the rear of the garden among the discarded flagstones and other bits and pieces that need tidying up. On the plus side there's a water tray in the foreground. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

We currently have three foxes frequenting the garden. Lopa (vixen), who's there all the time, Stripe (male) who lingers at the back of the garden; and this one who's an infrequent visitor but does tend to wander down to the front of the garden. When I took this he was engaged in a bit of a standoff with Lopa. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I'm definitely being a little erratic with posting lately, but this is Loap from last week. She's watching out for Strip (the young male fox) who was hanging around in the shrubs at the back of the garden (where she is looking). http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

When Lopa the vixen retreats to the rooftops (see yesterday's post https://social.vivaldi.net/@Words/111434374846758803 ), this is who she is escaping. He's a youngish male called Stripe. Some of the time they get on fine together, but at other times she seems very wary of him. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/

I missed her yesterday, but Lopa the vixen was back this evening. There was a second fox around (lurking) so she headed for the higher ground, which in our case is the garage roof. She feels much safer there and can head on up to the apex of the tiled roof if she feels the need. http://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/
