Doing the maths around subscriptions is daunting. You're never sure what your downloads at the top of the funnel would be therefore it is hard to judge what your resulting revenue could be.

While everyone is talking about Vision Pro, I figure it'd be a great time to launch a beta for HomePass 2 for just iOS.

It is a complete rewrite into SwiftUI with a brand new sync engine. It also introduces Maintenance, a fast way to update data stored when you change it in HomeKit.

To start with, it is a seperate app to ensure that it cannot affect your existing data from the App Store version.

I'd love to hear suggestions, feedback or bugs. It's still super early.

I love shipping updates to HomeKit apps with a watchOS counterpart. An update can cause HomeKit identifiers to randomly de-sync from those of the phone. Apple engineers claim this is impossible yet it happens regularly.

So the Matter 1.3 specification is out, yet no major platform supports 1.2 as of yet. Having Matter as an industry standard falls down fast if no platform actually supports it in a timely manner.
