The beef in red wine casserole has been nurdling away since 11am this morning in the slow cooker.

Starting to get the smells wafting through the house now... another couple of hours and it'll be ready.

Then I can take a bad picture of a big bowl of delicious slop for you all. 😆 😋

@sharongascoigne can I ask you (or maybe your husband) if there is a way to restore and resize an old picture... improving the quality of the image and adding extra to the image that doesn't exist.

Have an old pic of my grandfathers ship he served on... quality isn't great and it's an odd size that doesn't fit any regular sized frame.

It's about 8.5x11" and the frame I have is the same width as the one I had done with his naval portrait and his medals.

Even if there's an AI way to do it.

This last week I have been rewatching #BattlestarGalactica for the first time in about a decade or so.

Aside from some slightly ropey CGI in some scenes (mostly Cylon movement), it's just as enjoyable as it was the first time round some 20yrs ago.

Fuck... 20yrs ago... I feel so old.

Currently halfway through season 2.

Has anyone watched 'One Piece' on Netflix?

Never heard of it before, never seen the anime/manga (no idea which) it's based on.

Is it worth it... what's it comparable too? Limited time available and far too many shows to catch up on, so starting a new show has to be pretty epic to get on the list.

Today... I have mostly been painting picket pales... one at a time... about 90 of them. After loading them into the car and unloading them at home.

I'm about halfway through... I've run out of places to put them to dry.

That'll be a weekend job now. finish painting them, start fixing them to the fence rails.

Next week... might finally get the new gate post in place. Gotta lift block work and dig a 3ft hole and concrete it in place.

Draft suggestions for contract renewal arrived this morning. My team and I have been discussing them rather a lot.

Buried on page 3... is a requirement for at least 3 days a week in the office.

At the start of the year they tried this, and were clearly told that they approved people moving far from their base (West Midlands area) and had dropped the idea of office attendance requirements.

Now they're trying to sneak this in.

We're drafting a response that states, remove it or we quit.

The price of internal data storage for my computer has fallen greatly.

I can't afford to replace the 14TB HDD's in my mediaserver. But I can now get 4TB SSD's for around what a 1TB cost me a few years ago.

Tempted to replace the two 3TB HDD's in my main system with two 4TB SSD's

The end of a birthday for another year... choc orange cake and ice cream for supper.

Lazy day, went out in the afternoon for a spot of lunch at the Bulkley Hotel and picked up some cakes from a little run down looking cafe we've been to before that does proper home made stuff. It's located behind Beaumaris Castle and it looks a bit like a shed, and it's run by some older ladies. But the cakes are delish.

Did dinner with family last weekend.

Can't be bothered making too much effort anymore.

Yesterday, I put in the 3 salvaged posts to strengthen the low quality picket fence on the boundary.

I used fence post levels and all 3 were straight... wind shifted one... it's no longer straight. But I can work with it.

Today, stained all the salvaged wood from the rear of the house, cut and re-purposed as arris rail & gravel board.

Once I get new picket pales, I'll mirror the pickets on my side.

Then order the top soil and manure for the bed.

On android devices, install #DuckDuckGo and enable tracking protection.

It works as a web browser and search engine. But it can also block app tracking.

The images below show the app I use for my solar/battery system.

It's been grabbing 28 separate bits of tracking data from my phone without my knowledge or consent.

This is an unacceptable invasion.

Todays #BadPicsOfFood is the last of the beef in red wine casserole, turned into soup.

I also discovered that the soup maker is broken and shuts off after a couple of mins until the OCP resets and it turns back on for 30 secs... rinse and repeat.

So I heated it up on the hob, and used the hand blender instead.

Won't bother replacing the soup maker... not worth it.

Typically, we had 2... mine and my mums. I gave mine to my sister a few weeks ago after hers failed.

Sorry for the potato quality blurry pics. The Pixel 6 pro camera is kinda garbage at focusing if you use the slightest bit of zoom. Perfectly in focus background, the focus, centre of the shot... blurry as fuck

But having coffee and cake at lunchtime, and some birds were taking a keen interest and landed on the chair next to us.

So my mum held out her hand with a few cake crumbs on and they ate right out of her hand.

Can't tell what kind of birds they are though.

So it appears that #AnyDesk has decided to go down the route of every other remote desktop access software.

Restricting their free personal use access to try and force people to give them money.

This would be the 3rd time I've had to start looking for new software.

I use it to access the 3 systems in my own home only.

They keep cutting my sessions off... Last POS company that did that used to do it after 60 seconds. At least they're letting sessions last longer... for now.
