There was an article somewhere showing that if trump had taken all the money he inherited and put it into an index fund, he would have vastly more money than he has now. He maybe “rich” but its from a dwindling inheritance and not savvy business.

If we now also take into account all the additional money he should have paid in taxes and hadn’t, how much did he really “make through this business”.

I guess just making sure my understanding aligns - RISC V being the instruction set, and you are wondering if anyone is building a CPU to implement it?

Came across a couple examples, if that’s what you mean

I know LTT has a bit of a bad wrap these days. But he had a video on RISC V a while ago, in a desktop computer youtu.be/vaMxTSm53UU?feature=shared

The guy is a fucking idiot.

he decided to register his heritage with the Irish government when he was 22

Except for official purposes like applying for citizenship why else would the irish government care about your “heritage”?

He didn’t understand that would automatically be treated as an application for Irish citizenship or, crucially, that he would immediately lose Australian citizenship as a result.

Mr Keogh received Irish citizenship and a passport

This clown “accidentally” applied for, and received irish citizenship, and lost Australian citizenship due to a law on the books for over 50 years

Between 1948 and April 4, 2002, Australian adults who got a second citizenship automatically lost their Australian citizenship.

And between November 1984 and April 2002, they didn’t even have to be outside Australia when they took up their second citizenship to trigger the loss of their Australian rights.

Ive moved many times since smart meters became a thing. The one from british gas I have to use is the worst thing. It still isn’t correct 3 years laters. And any other provider I try and moves to tells me my address (and 20+ other houses) don’t exist

  1. Cut the cake into portions equal to the number of attendees. Maybe a couple more if you want to save a few slices. Everyone gets to enjoy cake at the party
  2. Grab a fork, and eat it alone. At a party. All the attendees just watch as you gorge yourself on far more cake than one person should consume. Take the rest home and freeze it so you can continue to be the only one to enjoy it

Capitalists see nothing wrong with option 2.

Does this include only phones? Or only devices being held?

What is a giant touch screen central display, if not just a large phone/tablet/distracting device? Especially full touch screen vs mechanical buttons and dials

What is the benefit of closing Studios? Why not sell them?

Yes, this is in relation to the closing of Tango Gameworks and Arcane Austin. Is there some immediate monetary benefit behind it that I have no idea about? Is it so they can keep the IPs and not have to deal with the developers? Are the Studios too expensive for anyone to buy? I honestly don’t understand how these executives...

breadsmasher,
@breadsmasher@lemmy.world avatar

I assume they want to keep the IP. Without any IP, a game studio (I think, could be wrong) aren’t worth anything to another publisher except as a really good, strong studio with a successful history. The studio would need to start from scratch, effectively, to develop new IP or acquire someone else’s IP.

Publishers could keep studios running, which is expensive. They seem to have communication issues ie HiFi Rush being a small, successful game by a studio they shut down and then going on to say thats the type of studio/game they want to focus on? Or having financial issues/less focus on games/no faith on new developments and instead just closing it all down to save money

This is just my layman interpretation of the situation

There is no good way to spin this. Reads like a very poor attempt at a republican “gotcha”

  1. “Im pro choice too. Are you now anti choice? gOtcHa” - idiots
  2. Those legitimately defending it because they want to … marry … children - vile predators
  3. “Entice abortion instead of marriage” - remember he is talking about a minor who has been a victim of SA. This bill isn’t about “allowing women the choice to marry and keep the baby”. Its about legitimising sexually assaulting a minor, impregnating them, and then marrying them to make it all “legal and above board”

Conservatives, personally I do not agree with assaulting and marrying children. How can anyone ever defend this? Come defend your reps position. Or maybe wake up and realise this insanity will never stop while you continue to vote these predators into government

Its not difficult. Our government just cares more for corporate bottom lines
