I have never watched a live pursuit standoff before today. But this one is in the neighborhood. Incredible to see live footage of a drone parked on hood of car to monitor suspect, another circling overhead. Suspect has gas mask. There has got to he immense pressure on LE to resolve this.

I-80 CLOSED DUE TO POLICE
ACTIVITY
Both directions of I-80 are closed at Green Valley Road/680 interchange due to a standoff with a potentially armed suspect. We are actively working to resolve this incident and will reopen lanes as soon as possible.

UPDATE: Police and CHP have numerous patrol vehicles and at least one armored vehicle on the scene. Appears someone is using a drone to look into the car where a potentially-armed driver is engaged in a standoff.
UPDATE: Fairfield police are moving their tactical radio traffic to an encrypted channel, the first time we've heard a Solano County law enforcement agency make use of an encrypted radio feed.

Further updates here: https://www.forth.news/threads/6635707751a7e748e016fc69. Hope it resolves OK. Traffic is a mess in city streets locally. I imagine the effect of it being closed for over an hour now will have far reaching effects into neighboring counties. Bad time for any natural disasters.

@ai6yr Tis true that weather affects them. Dunno about prognosticating…I always worry about the red onion’s insides after rainy season. Especially if dicing for a taco/nacho bar like I am going to do for a kiddie bday this weekend. I’ll admit to being a produce snob b/c we had our own garden before.

@ai6yr I am wondering if this was from fomites or from aerosolized virus. Glasses will be a good idea either way. Many with Covid still present with conjunctivitis. My guess is this results from LOTS of aerosolized virus, or in this case possibly milk splashes and/or transfer via unclean hands.

@ai6yr Also would be interesting to find out symptoms of any not in direct contact with dairy itself, but with dairy workers. Wonder if that has happened and the mechanism of infection..

This would be a great deal for someone with need to build a garden bed, but the timeframes this person have in their post ("must be gone tomorrow", ie today) are RIDICULOUS (unless you live next door). Have you ever moved that much weight before?

When I read about something newsworthy, I like to read several articles on it. i.e. Saudi Arabia is arresting people for anti-Israel social media posts.

@ai6yr I hate any kind of kids cups/bottkes with built in flip straw lids or over engineered lids where there is potential for mold to grow b/c people don’t/can’t wash those parts properly.
