I’m making a 5e setting inspired by Ancient India! (ttrpg.network)

Hi, my name is Khan and I am the person behind Devabhumi. I am of Indian origin, and I have always been interested in non-European rpg settings. There is such a treasure trove of untapped stories, monsters, and legends in Indian Culture, which can provide fresh and unique content for your campaigns. Devabhumi is a high fantasy...

I read the article because it was shorter than the comments. It seems the problem here is predatory lending. Getting a loan for $500k and then being paid $380k because they took payments out sounds very much like a Ukranian Mafia loan shark technique I just read about in Jack Reacher - Blue Moon.

This is like that magpie story, the kids and animal can’t consent.

5 mins of 1500w kettle = 60 minutes of a 50w heated throw.

Electric blankets are super cheap to run.

If you’re driving to Cornwall because the train is expensive, you can take a lesser motorway for a free squiz at stone henge as you drive by. I was told by family near Exeter that Cornwall is pretty touristy and parking can be a nightmare in season, so maybe a tour bus?

The London museums and art galleries were free. May as well see all the cool shit they acquired from the world.

What’s the deal with people putting the lemmy @user in their comments when they’re replying to that person? I see AJ doing it, and elsewhere on lemmy it seems everyone is doing it.

I went to eight primary/high schools and have lived at around 35 different places, the longest for eight years (where I was born).

I need to give mine a few minutes to find each other and catch-up once I open the app on the phone.

No one happens to have a resin 3d printer? I can’t get replies from any of the facebook ads for it. I’m looking to print a DnD mini, pro places seem to want $50+ for it, I can get it posted from hero forge for that, and I don’t want to spend that much.

Google maps took me to the ordnance training entrance to Puckapunyal. A 10ft wire fence in the bush with a bunch of signs stating that past this point is a live atrillery training ground or something like that. Many warning of how likely you are to die if you continue.

I clean up, whenever I haven’t I’m just bothered by litter around my street until the council monthly sweeper comes through.

The neighbours might’ve caught them. You could do a letter drop in the court saying someone was taking photos from their car on DATE and TIME.

They’ll start mining landfill for metals and probably plastic soon enough. Air it out, wash it, get the metal and plastic, don’t worry about that other in the air/water, that’s a future poor person’s problem.

Centrelink mutual obligations: budget changes tipped to prevent 1m jobseeker suspensions a year (www.theguardian.com)

Changes to the mutual obligations scheme, contained in the federal budget, will ease the rules that govern when a person’s payments are suspended, meaning job seekers will have a five-day grace period – rather than 48 hours – to account for missing employment services appointments and other activities before their income...
